15 month stats ( a little late )

Our pediatrician was on vacation so we were late getting Faith's 15 month well check. In 12 days she will be 16 months old. OWELL. Better late than never.

We started off first with an appointment with Dr. Shapiro her cardiologist. I freakin LOVE this man and his staff. He is amazing and so nice. I for warned them that Faith is having major, and I mean MAJOR doctor phobia. It happened after she got her tubes put in. It was such a horrible experience that I think she is scarred from it.:(

So, the staff did just what I asked and didn't do anything to Faith until Dr. Shapiro was ready to see her. He got on the floor with us, and played with Faith for a few minutes before he listened to her heart. She still has an innocent murmur, but other than that her heart sounded good. Then it was time for the EKG to be hooked up onto her. That was a different story. There was a lot of crying, but his staff was wonderful. There were 2 nurses in there blowing bubbles, Damian was reading books to her, I was holding her in my lap and Dr. Shapiro was looking at the EKG readings. It was a packed room but Faith finally stopped crying and didn't do too bad. Her heart did slip back into an elevated rhythm, and we had to stay hooked up a little longer to make sure it went back into a normal rhythm. Guess what people? It went back down and slipped back into a normal pattern. Her meds are working good! So I left there feeling really good about things. :)

I was dreading going to her regular pedi appointment, for so many reasons, but to make a long story short,I actually left there feeling happy and like I had all my questions answered.
It was really good. Faith got 2 vaccines today and will get a couple more at her 18 month appointment. We space her vaccines out, so that is why it seems like she is always getting shots. Poor girl.

So she weighed in at 20lbs10oz -10% for weight, 30 1/4 inches long- 25-50% for length, 18 inches for her head- 25-50% for head.

She is my sweet tiny girl, and thriving. Her pedi said she has a strong will and that is what has gotten her though all her health issues so far. She has no idea. I knew this little girl was a fighter since the first time I saw her on my ultrasound. :)

My new little treasures!!

Today was a crazy busy day. Faith and I went up to Round Rock to check out the new north clinic. It is beautiful. I am jealous that some of my co workers and doctors will be working there. It is so nice. BUT it is over 50 miles from my house, and there is no way that I would be willing to drive that far on a daily basis.
Since I was in Round Rock I decided to stop by the Le Leche League conference and check it out. I had a good time. Met Kim, from Rockin Green. LOVE that laundry soap!!!!!! She and her husband were so nice. I got a new bag of smashing watermelon's soap and a ton of samples!
I also bought some new diapers. NOW, I usually like to buy one size diapers, but this was someone who makes them, and they came in sizes. I bought 3 size large diaoers. Her business is called Diaper Change. Check them out at http://diaperchangediapers.com/ They are really cute and they have side snaps which seem to be easy. I will let everyone know what I think about them.

After that we made a mad dash back to Kyle to get ready for my friend Presley's birthday party. She turned one today, and had her party at a place called Wazoo's. Faith had such a good time! :) Didn't get too many pictures because I was too busy chasing a crazy toddler around. A toddler who had no naps and too much sugar!

We are relaxing for the rest of the evening.... Maybe the hubbs and I can watch a movie or something.

Here is a pictures of my new TREASURES!

Cloth wipes

Ok, so if you are totally grossed out by cloth diapers how about you at least give cloth wipes a try?
A couple of reason why they are amazing...

1. Do you know how much money you save by not using disposable wipes? I swear we used to use a ton of wipes. And good ones are expensive.
2. You can be a green momma by using your own wipes
3. They clean up so much better then the other wipes. I can use one wipe to clean up something that used to take me four wipes.
4. They are cute. I know, again with the cuteness. I love cute!

I have made all but 4 of my cloth wipes. And the ones I didn't make, I don't really like. I don't see the point on buying them when I can make my own. For CHEAP!

I made some wipes for two of my girlfriends who also cloth diaper. I hope they like them. :)

Some pictures taken with my phone.

Here are the girl wipes I made:

Some cute boy wipes

I rolled up 6 wipes and tied them with some ribbon. Cute huh?

Happy Birthday Conway

Today is Conway's 7th birthday! My "puppy" isn't a puppy anymore. In honor of his birthday I am going to do my 10 on Tuesday all about Conway!

1. Conway was named after Conway Twitty. His registered name is R Little hello Darlin. That was my dad's favorite country song...

2. Conway is an all natural miniature pinscher. Meaning he has natural standing ears and a natural tail. He is not cropped or docked.

3. Conway did flyball for a short period of time. He earned his FD ( flyball dog ) and his FD -CH ( Flyball dog champion ) titles. Due to some back problems, he had to retire :(

4. He has IBD and is treated by some of the best doctors in Texas.

5. Conway and Gracie are both fed a raw diet. WHICH they love and feeding Raw has kept Conway out of the hospital for his IBD

6. Conway is a cold blooded killer. He will kill anything. That's right. He has killed birds, kittens, mice, rabbits etc. He loves to do what he was bred to do.

7. Conway is terrified of fireworks, gun shots, and balloons. He just barks at the balloons, but he has to be sedated for fireworks and gun shots.

8. Conway almost died when he was 6 months old. He has a severe case of hypothermia and hypoglycemia. It was awful.

9. Conway's best friend is a 150 lbs African Mastiff named Sebastian. They LOVE each other

10. Conway will and wants to eat everything and anything that doesn't eat him first. This gets him into a lot of trouble.

15 Months old

Faith turned 15 months last Friday.. Sorry it is late.

Has it really been 15 months since my sweetness came into this world? It seems like yesterday I was getting ready to have her.

Let's see...

She is wearing size 3 diapers still. That is when we actually put her in a disposable one. We are really liking the cloth diapering. Even Damian is on the cloth diaper train. He even took her out by himself on Saturday and CD'd the whole time. I am so proud! We are also using our own cloth wipes. I made some out of old receiving blankets and make my own solution too. They are so much better than the regular wipes.

She wears size 6-12 months clothes.

Size 3 shoes

Signs and talks up a storm. YAY!

Eats like a 10 year old boy. I mean this girl can eat. She eats everything! When we go out to eat we have to order her a child's plate because she will eat the whole thing.

Drinking goat's milk and water only. She still hasn't has any juice. I know, I am a mean mommy. But there is no reason she needs it, so should I give it to her?

Starting to not want to take two naps a day. On the weekend she usually takes one long nap.

She started swimming classes last week and loves them for the most part. There are a few tears shed, when the instructor gets out the foam water noodles. She hates them.

10 on Tuesday

1. My mother's day gift from Damian and Faith finally came in. They got me Faith's fingerprint casted into a silver ring. I LOVE IT!

2. My cloth diaper hobby is starting to turned into an obsession. I ordered three new diapers last week and I love them. I was off the past four days and Faith was cloth diapered all those days, with the exception at night.

3. I took the pins into my work on Saturday for a check up. Dr. Locke is amazing and doesn't think I am too crazy. She looked at a little mass Gracie had on her ear. It turned out to be a cyst. As soon as she stuck a needle in it, it ruptured. Thank God it wasn't anything bad. Conway on the other hand is going back into work with me tomorrow for an 8 our stem test. They are going to test him for Cushings disease. His liver looked a little funky and Dr. L thinks he might have cushings.

4. I got Faith an amber teething necklace today. I can't believe how " granola mom" I am turning. I like it though. I will let ya'll know how well it works

5. One year ago today Faith started daycare with Ms. Aimee. We are so lucky and blessed to find someone so amazing to watch our beautiful daughter. We got Aimee a gift card to Starbucks.

6. I have been going to the YMCA for the past two weeks now. I got to Pilates with Aimee on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Having someone to go with is awesome. It keeps me motivated.

7. Faith starts swimming lessons at the "Y" next week. I can't wait. She loves the water. We have been taking her to the pool the past two weeks. I didn't know how well she would do. She is a shy girl, and doesn't do well with things that aren't in her normal day to day routine. BUT she amazed me ( like always ) and did really well.

8. Damian and I have been making an effort to stay on top of the house work more. It is getting out of control, and little by little we are working on it.

9. I have really started to miss agility with Gracie a ton. I am so out of the loop. It is sad. I am thinking about entering one of my favorite shows in College Station around the Fourth of July. We could spend the night in a hotel with Faithie for the first time.

10. We are planning a little summer vacation. The whole family. Damian, Faith, Gracie, Conway and I. We are planning on going to the coast for a couple of days in July. I can't wait to get away from it all.

I promise to post some pictures think weekend. I am getting bad about that. I just hate taking them off my camera and uploading them to my computer etc. Uggh, I am so lazy.
