15 Months old

Faith turned 15 months last Friday.. Sorry it is late.

Has it really been 15 months since my sweetness came into this world? It seems like yesterday I was getting ready to have her.

Let's see...

She is wearing size 3 diapers still. That is when we actually put her in a disposable one. We are really liking the cloth diapering. Even Damian is on the cloth diaper train. He even took her out by himself on Saturday and CD'd the whole time. I am so proud! We are also using our own cloth wipes. I made some out of old receiving blankets and make my own solution too. They are so much better than the regular wipes.

She wears size 6-12 months clothes.

Size 3 shoes

Signs and talks up a storm. YAY!

Eats like a 10 year old boy. I mean this girl can eat. She eats everything! When we go out to eat we have to order her a child's plate because she will eat the whole thing.

Drinking goat's milk and water only. She still hasn't has any juice. I know, I am a mean mommy. But there is no reason she needs it, so should I give it to her?

Starting to not want to take two naps a day. On the weekend she usually takes one long nap.

She started swimming classes last week and loves them for the most part. There are a few tears shed, when the instructor gets out the foam water noodles. She hates them.

10 on Tuesday

1. My mother's day gift from Damian and Faith finally came in. They got me Faith's fingerprint casted into a silver ring. I LOVE IT!

2. My cloth diaper hobby is starting to turned into an obsession. I ordered three new diapers last week and I love them. I was off the past four days and Faith was cloth diapered all those days, with the exception at night.

3. I took the pins into my work on Saturday for a check up. Dr. Locke is amazing and doesn't think I am too crazy. She looked at a little mass Gracie had on her ear. It turned out to be a cyst. As soon as she stuck a needle in it, it ruptured. Thank God it wasn't anything bad. Conway on the other hand is going back into work with me tomorrow for an 8 our stem test. They are going to test him for Cushings disease. His liver looked a little funky and Dr. L thinks he might have cushings.

4. I got Faith an amber teething necklace today. I can't believe how " granola mom" I am turning. I like it though. I will let ya'll know how well it works

5. One year ago today Faith started daycare with Ms. Aimee. We are so lucky and blessed to find someone so amazing to watch our beautiful daughter. We got Aimee a gift card to Starbucks.

6. I have been going to the YMCA for the past two weeks now. I got to Pilates with Aimee on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Having someone to go with is awesome. It keeps me motivated.

7. Faith starts swimming lessons at the "Y" next week. I can't wait. She loves the water. We have been taking her to the pool the past two weeks. I didn't know how well she would do. She is a shy girl, and doesn't do well with things that aren't in her normal day to day routine. BUT she amazed me ( like always ) and did really well.

8. Damian and I have been making an effort to stay on top of the house work more. It is getting out of control, and little by little we are working on it.

9. I have really started to miss agility with Gracie a ton. I am so out of the loop. It is sad. I am thinking about entering one of my favorite shows in College Station around the Fourth of July. We could spend the night in a hotel with Faithie for the first time.

10. We are planning a little summer vacation. The whole family. Damian, Faith, Gracie, Conway and I. We are planning on going to the coast for a couple of days in July. I can't wait to get away from it all.

I promise to post some pictures think weekend. I am getting bad about that. I just hate taking them off my camera and uploading them to my computer etc. Uggh, I am so lazy.

It ain't easy being Green.

Over the past couple of months, I have become more interested in becoming more Green. I have already been cloth diapering when Faith isn't at daycare. I am loving it more and more everyday. If and when we have another baby, I will hopefully stay home with our two babies. Putting two kids in daycare is crazy expensive. So, if we have another baby, I am hoping to cloth diaper full time. At first Damian didn't want anything to do with cloth diapering, but today he actually seemed interested. I think he is liking the fact that he doesn't have to change any diapers when Faith is being CD.
I am so proud of my sweet husband. He made a diaper sprayer for me. It works beautifully, and instead of paying 75 bucks for one, he spent about 25 and made one. I got the instructions from http://gidgetgoeshome.com/2008/08/25/diy-tutorial-make-your-own-diaper-sprayer/

Today, I made my own cloth wipes. I used some old receiving blankets that I had. I made about 15 wipes and it took me about an hour to cut them out, stitch them together and then top stitch them. They look good and I can't wait to use them

I also made my own all purpose cleaner today. It works really well, but I don't think it smells good or clean, so I am going to keep messing with different recipes until I find one I like.

How green are you and what tips to you have for someone like me?

Veggie Tales

No, not the TV show! I don't let Faithie watch TV.

When I first started feeding Faith she would eat anything. Veggies, fruits, whatever.

However, those days have ended and Faith has become a picky eater, and hardly ever wants to eat any veggies. I try and try and try, but I usually outsmarted by a 14 month old baby.

I was talking to my friend Crystal about how she gets her son to eat veggies. She told me about this brilliant recipe for a fruit smoothie.

It is so simple and Faith LOVES it!! And she doesn't even realize that she is getting 3 different fruits and a big ol' helping of spinach.

I got a couple of bananas, a bag of frozen strawberries, a little bit of apple juice, a container of goat yogurt and some fresh spinach. ( ALL ORGANIC, by the way )

Put the spinach in the blender and add a little bit of apple juice. Blend until it is a green liquid. Then add in the fruits and the yogurt. Put it all into a sippy cup and you have a great treat. I am going to make some more soon and freeze them into Popsicles for the summer time.

I have also made this with blueberries and it was just as good. The sky is the limit. You can add whatever your heart desires. Good luck and hopefully your little one will like it as much as Faith did.

Wordless Wednesday

You know I always have something to say...

Look at all those CURLS!!!! At first I didn't like them, because I also have curly hair. But her curls are growing on me. Soo cute!
